Brian Murray is the Deputy Coordinator for Harris County’s Homeland Security & Emergency Management and its Public Information Officer. He joins us today to talk about how Harris County can help the public to be better prepared to handle these disasters and what services they offer.

5:00 pm The Republican Primary race for Ft Bend Constable Pct 3 is being tightly contested by two South Asian candidate. We are joined today by one of them, Ali Sheikhani, who is a very successful businessman and also a police officer, to learn why he is running and what his platform is, as the March 5 Primary election rolls closer, with early voting starting in 17 days on February 20.

5:20 pm The current Chair of the Ft Bend Democratic Party, Cynthia Ginyard, has decided not to seek the position again this year. This left the door open for Bangladeshi-American Shah Haleem, who has been involved in Democratic Precinct politics for years, to seek the position in this March’s Primary. Even with a busy campaign schedule, he made the time to come to the studio to explain his decision to seek the office.
