There's this narrative out there that to be seen as successful in the online entrepreneurial space, you have to be completely all in and totally financially reliant on your business. Actions like getting a part-time job, putting some expenses on a credit card, and lowering your cost of living are perceived as failures (or at least we might think they are). In this episode, I'm cutting the BS. We're talking about why these and many other moves not only should not be so taboo, but also how they may actually be smart business decisions at any level of business. I'm sharing my own experiences, conversations happening behind-the-scenes with my peers & clients, and encouragement for you to make the decision that's best for you and your business without fear of judgment. In this episode, we cover…
  • Why getting a part-time job might actually be a power move
  • How (strategically) putting expenses on a credit card or investing in your environment can help your business grow
  • Taking shortcuts as a way to get where you want to go with less time and energy
  • Why income dips and lowering your cost of living are nothing to be ashamed of
  • The power of community to share about the hard parts of entrepreneurship
  • The need for transparent conversations like this to be happening in our space

Quotes "The investments come first. The ROI literally almost never comes first. And the sooner that you can wrap your head around that, the faster that you'll be able to make smart investments." "If you can get used to the end goal being somewhat of a question mark, and not have to need so much security of where you're going and exactly how it's going to look like - That's where the magic happens." "However you pay your bills and make it work - good for f*cking you. Because a lot of people couldn't figure it out and do it."
