German Description (English below)
Gast: Ulrich Rudolph

English Description
Guest: Ulrich Rudolph

In alchemy, attempts were made to produce nobler substances from base ones. Ultimately, the noblest of all substances, gold. Similarly, the work of al-Ghazāli can be seen as a means of transforming our hearts toward bliss. Clearly, it must be emphasized that the author had an otherworldly conception of happiness. Nevertheless, according to al-Ghazāli in this podcast, our guest Ulrich Rudolph, one can already attain a taste of otherworldly bliss in this life.
The book itself, however, does not clumsily spread any supposed otherworldly ideas, but should serve the opening of man for experiences, ultimately for the experience of divine light. The way to it is by no means simple, but challenges the human being with all his abilities theoretically and practically/ethically.
