Hey there, surfers and beachgoers! Ready for a wave-filled update on the New York surf zone forecast? Let's dive in!
First up, we've got Kings (Brooklyn) where the rip current risk today is moderate, with surf heights of 2 to 3 feet. The UV Index is very high, so slap on that sunscreen! Expect mostly sunny skies with high temperatures in the upper 70s. Winds will start from the northeast and switch to the south later in the day. Perfect day for hitting up Coney Island Beach!
Moving on to Southern Queens with moderate rip current risk and surf heights of 2 to 3 feet. Again, a very high UV Index, so keep that sunblock handy. Temperatures will be in the mid 70s, with a nice mix of sun and clouds. Ideal for a chill day at Jacob Riis Park or Rockaway Beach.
And for Southern Nassau, we've got a similar vibe - moderate rip current risk, 2 to 3 feet surf height, and a very high UV Index. With temperatures also in the mid 70s, it's a great day to soak up the sun at Atlantic Beach or Jones Beach.
Heading to Southwestern Suffolk, the moderate rip current risk continues with around 3 feet surf height. Expect partly sunny weather with temperatures in the mid 70s. Time to catch some waves at Gilgo State Park or Robert Moses State Park!
Lastly, Southeastern Suffolk is seeing a high rip current risk until 2 PM, with 3 to 4 feet surf height. Make sure to stay safe out there! With partly sunny skies and mid 70s temperatures, it's still a great day to enjoy Smith Point or Cupsogue Beach.
Remember, always be aware of the rip current risks and never underestimate the power of the ocean. Have fun, stay safe, and catch some awesome waves out there, folks!
