Hey there, surfers and beachgoers! It's time to catch some waves and soak up the sun with your New York surf zone forecast brought to you by the National Weather Service in New York.
Let's start with Kings (Brooklyn) where you can expect a low risk of rip currents today with surf heights around 2 feet, plenty of sunshine, and a high temperature hitting around 80 degrees. The winds will be coming from the Northwest around 10 miles per hour, switching to the west in the afternoon.
Moving on to Southern Queens, including Jacob Riis Park and Rockaway Beach, you're in for similar conditions, with sunny skies, low rip current risk, and the surf temperature in the lower 70s. Highs will be in the upper 70s, with Northwest winds at around 10 miles per hour.
For Southern Nassau, which includes Atlantic Beach, Long Beach, Lido Beach, and Jones Beach, expect the surf temperature to be in the upper 60s with highs reaching the upper 70s. Winds will be coming from the Northwest at 10 miles per hour, becoming west in the afternoon.
