To set it up, search for "Local Service Ads" on Google, click the top link, and start creating your account. Choose your business category, budget, and locations for your ads. These ads display your Google Business profile, allowing potential customers to call or message you. Google charges you per lead, not per click, but be sure to respond instantly to leads to maintain reliability. To stand out, add more images and get more reviews for your Google Business profile than all your competitors.
**2. Google Ads**
Google Ads remain a key revenue source and a powerful marketing tool. Organise your ads into keyword groups. For example, if you're a plumber, target specific keywords like "boiler fitting" and link them to a dedicated landing page with unique selling points (USPs) and clear calls to action. Craft compelling ad headlines, outperform your competitors, and use your sales skills to convert leads over the phone.
**3. Find Results On Section**
Google suggests other directories that list businesses offering your service. Identify relevant directories, get listed on them, and optimise your listings for better visibility. Accumulating more reviews can boost your ranking on these platforms.
**4. Google Maps**
Claim your listing on Google Maps at google.com/business or optimise your existing listing. Aim to rank in the top 3 results when people search for your service in your area. Utilise tools like "GMB Everywhere" to select the right categories, conduct competitor research, and gather reviews. Upload plenty of images to become the best-reviewed company in your town and secure higher rankings.
**5. Organic Google Search**
Optimise your website for organic search results, especially under the map pack. Ensure your website is well-structured with titles, descriptions, and full-page optimisation. Create detailed pages for all your products and services.
**6. Blogging for Inbound Traffic**
Implement a content strategy by blogging on your website. Write articles that solve customer problems or answer common queries related to your services. For instance, if you're in property extensions, create blog posts about house extension costs or measurement calculators. These informative articles will generate inbound traffic, so include clear calls to action (CTAs) to encourage customers to contact you for quotes.
