This podcast addresses patient care from both sides of the table, discussing what it was like to be a professional in Respiratory Therapy (RT) but end up on the “other side of the table” as a patient, then back to professional life. In this episode, part one, an RT shared his experience of having a tracheostomy and speaking valve. The other guest RT shared the impact and changes that had to occur following a bike accident that left him blind. Both speak to considerations that clinicians should have for communicating with patients.
