Hey, Planted 365 Family! Hope you're having a blessed day.
Here's another exciting episode of Planted Not Buried Podcast, Lance Thonvold.
Now let's talk about "EMPTY YOUR PLATE". I'm pumped up after a session with the baseball team at Ottawa University Arizona. Coach Tim Montz is all about an "others first" mentality, and we dove into the concept of service. I introduced an acronym, SERVE, and wrapped up with a powerful idea – the die-empty mentality.

You see, many folks aim to be full of cars, houses, money, and possessions when they die. But I challenge you to desire to die empty. Picture your life as a plate of food. To be full, you must empty the plate each day. Every piece of that plate, like the diverse elements of your life, contributes unique nutrients to make you stronger. Sure, some things may not taste great – like my wife's daily carrot salad – but she eats it for the benefits it brings. Similarly, God gives each of us a unique plate with specific challenges and sacrifices. We may not like the taste, but if we want to be our best selves, we must consume all that He's provided. Stop adding worldly treats that may taste good but won't fulfill you. Focus on your plate, consume everything God has given you, and you'll find yourself full of Christ and the Gospel. Stay blessed, and let's get it! 🚀
