Joshua Torrey returns with special guest Jason Piland to discuss the latest developments within the PCA related to mandatory background checks. Joshua and Jason co-labored to perfect overtures that will be considered by the General Assembly in 2024 requiring background checks of ordained officers. We discuss the grassroots presbyterian nature of these overtures versus a more top-down approach that will also be considered. We also discuss for the need for churches to carry out church discipline.
