Reward Minerals Ltd (ASX:RWD CEO Lorry Hughes joins Proactive’s Tylah Tully to discuss the company’s acquisition of the Beyondie Potash Plant in Western Australia for $2.13 million (excluding GST). The plant was formerly operated by Kalium and acquired through an agreement with Dr Michael Ruane, Reward's executive director and major shareholder. This acquisition includes a fully constructed processing facility with a variety of specialised equipment, such as a crushing circuit, conversion units, and SOP recovery components. Hughes described the acquisition as strategic and potentially transformative for the company, reinforcing Reward's focus on potassium sulphate (SOP) recovery from Western Australian solar salt operations. The new assets will enable Reward to update its engineering scoping study for the Carnarvon Potash Project, with plans to incorporate the plant's components. The 2023 engineering scoping study indicated that Reward could establish a commercially viable SOP operation using waste brines from solar salt operations, with potential production of 100,000 tonnes per annum. Operating costs were estimated to be $273 per tonne, among the lowest globally. The company aims to use these new assets to further develop its SOP production and potentially partner with other salt operations in the region. #ProactiveInvestors #ASX #RewardMinerals #PotashPlant #SOPProduction #WesternAustralia #CarnarvonPotash #PotassiumSulphate #SOPIndustry #LowCostProduction #BeyondiePlant #KaliumOperations #SolarSaltOperations #SOPRecovery #BrineProcessing #MiningAcquisition #WesternAustraliaMining #SustainableMining #PotashMarket #EngineeringScopingStudy #SaltOperations #MiningTechnology #CommercialViability
