One of the biggest mistakes you can make is trying to appeal to everybody.
When your brand is trying to speak to everybody at once, your customers will likely get confused.
Their experience is akin to listening to multiple songs at once.
Your communications become a cacophony of different ideas, messages, and—frankly—noise.
In order for you to create a successful brand, your brand needs to connect to the right people to create relationships and build trust.
The more specific you can be with defining and understanding your customers, the more specific you can be with your communications.
The less specific you are with defining and understanding your customers, the more general your communications—which weakens your brand voice.
The goal is to work on your aim by defining a bullseye persona, which is an archetype of your ideal and aspirational client.
Your bullseye persona exemplifies those you’d like to serve/inspire in the future.
