In conversation with Deepthi Jayaraj. She is a Tax Administrator on deputation to the State Govenment and posted as Special Secretary, Finance. Was instrumental in introducing outcome budgeting in 11 departments in Jharkhand. Born to doctor parents in Palakkad, Kerala, grew up in the subdivisional town Ottapalam and moved to the neighbouring district headquarters, Thrissur after completing matriculation. Married to a fellow civil servant and blessed with two daughters. Lives in Ranchi with family consisting of four generations.
