Join Sabrina as she speaks with Indira Ahluwalia, Founder of the Coalition for Racial & Ethnic Equity in Development (CREED) and they discuss the importance of going beyond compliance, the destructive results of microaggressions, and how leadership can't be outsourced.
CREED will be celebrating its one-year anniversary on February 22, 2023— during Black History Month—with an event focused on Continuing to Build Courage, Capabilities, and Community to Advance Racial and Ethnic Equity. The event will be headlined by USAID Counselor Clinton D. White. Mr. White’s address will be followed by a panel discussion about how to operationalize REE and make the effort sustainable. Moderated by UNICEF’s Vice President of Diversity, Racial Equity and Belonging, Muna Idow, the panel will feature Assistant Secretary of State for the Western Hemisphere Affairs Ambassador Brian A. Nichols, Global Head of Philanthropy at PepsiCo and President, PepsiCo Foundation C.D. Glin, and Director of the Ralph Bunche International Affairs Center at Howard University Tonija Navas.

This hybrid event will be held in Washington DC with the in-person coffee and registration starting at 2:30 pm and the program (which will be broadcast live) beginning at 3 pm. A reception will follow for in-person attendees at 4:30 pm.
