Join Marney Reid and Wendy Wong, MD as they discuss what having it all looks like in today’s age for high achieving career women, and balance family along with their professional responsibilities. In 2012 Anne-Marie Slaughter published an article in The Atlantic titled “Why Women Still Can’t Have It All,” and at that time, this may have been true. The discussion with Dr. Wong proves just how far we’ve come, and that incredible women are doing it every day: achieving accolades and enjoying a flourishing career, while being super Moms and role models to their children and friends.

Wendy Wong, MD, FAAOS

Arthroplasty director, Sequoia Surgical Pavilion

Director of Joint Replacement, John Muir Health

Vice Chair of Department of Orthopedic Surgery, John Muir Walnut Creek

Dr. Wong grew up in Fremont, CA. She attained her undergraduate degree in Neurobiology at the University of California, Berkeley and then the Chicago Medical School.

She completed her Orthopedic surgery residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center and a fellowship in total joint replacement at Stanford.

After fellowship Dr. Wong joined Golden State Orthopedics and Spine, a 60-person Orthopaedic private practice in Northern CA where she specializes in minimally invasive anterior hip replacement and robotic knee replacement. Along with a very busy elective surgery practice, Dr. Wong enjoys participating in business projects with her practice and hospital and is the Medical Director for the ambulatory surgery center (ASC) and hospital.
