Do you ever feel like your life is so far from where you thought you would be or where you long to be? Maybe you struggle to be fully present or content in your present moment because you're so focused on the future.

Whether it's something as small as not having the time to keep your house clean because you're chasing after little kids, or something as big as longing for a spouse or a child, we often get stuck in our longings and feel disappointed in our circumstances.

So how do you press in right now when you're not where you want to be?

In this episode, Jordan talks with author Ruth Chou Simons about being present in your life and pressing into God even when your circumstances don't align with your expectations or hopes.

Tune in to learn:

  • How the Bible provides a framework for the idea of “now and not yet”
  • Why getting what you're longing for doesn't actually lead to fulfillment (and what does)
  • Practical tips to engage in the season you’re in, even if it’s not where you want to be
  • How to flip the script on a hard season
  • The importance of making growth the goal, and leaving the outcome to God
