This week we talk to Roman Molino Dunn, a film composer and Billboard-charting music producer, also known as Electroptoint.
His film and TV composing work includes Huracán (HBO), Snakehead (Samuel Goldwyn Films, Roadside Attractions), a #1 Netflix film Ai Love You (Netflix), Animals of America's National Parks (Disney+/NatGeo), Wild Babies of America's National Parks (Disney+/NatGeo) Ru Paul’s Drag Race All Stars (Paramount+), Red Rocket (A24), Kid Correspondent (Participant, Youtube Originals), and The Card Counter (Schrader / Scorsese / Focus Features).
TV networks that have used his work include HBO, E!TV, A&E, MTV, Oxygen, BET, Bravo, Netflix, Paramount+, VH1, Discovery, TLC, NBC, OutTV, and NASCAR. Major brands who have commissioned (not just synced) his music include Burger King, PayPal, Marriott, Michael Kors, NBC, The Ad Council, Clinique, Snapple, Globe and Mail, Honeywell, Maserati, Tom Ford, Kopari, and many more.
As a music producer, Electropoint, he has worked with major and indie labels and Grammy-winning artists, including GLAAD- nominated albums, particularly with reality TV stars (Love & Hip Hop, Dr. Miami, Ru Paul’s Drag Race, Real Housewives of New Jersey, Howard Stern, Bad Girls Club). His productions and soundtracks have climbed both the Billboard and iTunes top 20 charts.
He is the co-owner of Mirrortone Studios in NYC, co-owner of Antares (makers of Auto- Tune), and as a music technologist, his composing software has been acquired by Avid for Pro Tools and Sibelius.
