History is in the Making & For the Taking | There's Always More to Know Than Wait We Know, So Learn! Since primary school we've been taught that it is our responsibility to know our history so that we can hold ourselves accountable to not repeat it. But what defines the scope of the history that we should be aware of? In what ways do our personal, societal, and global histories interconnect? In every way. In modern day 2024, none of our histories took place in a silo. Not our personal histories, societal histories, or global histories. The proof that we are all connected in some way, shape or form is written in the history books. I believe that is a failing of the modern day education system to treat the topic of history so cavalierly. Bottom line, navigating from a place knowledge, insight, and an understanding of personal, societal and global history is a torch that we can each carry, at our own time, and in our own way.
