Teachers are always going to be their harshest critics, so when we are working to support them and find areas that need improvement, it is crucial to highlight all the positives as well.

Teachers too often get hyper-focused on the 1-2 things we point out that need work, forgetting about all of the other amazing work they are doing. It is our job as leaders to help them see those positives as well.

When looking at the professional development we provide for our teachers, we need to be clear about the outcome and impact of the training. It needs to be connected to the work and clearly communicated to staff members so they see the connection to the overall goals of your school.
