I had a great time recording with author Crystal Rose as we discussed her work Tarak's Torment, the first book in the Shifters of Valo Prime Series. We also talked about her writing process and journey, as well as the importance of cultural representation in her books.

Should I be thankful about crash-landing on an alien planet? Probably not, but when the alternative was being abducted and sold as a slave, I'll take my chances with the deadly plants and monstrous beasts on Valo Prime. Especially when I'm saved from a giant boar by a big, sexy alien who takes me to his home and offers me his protection. Now all I have to do is convince him to go back for the other women who were kidnapped with me, and hope we can make it back without being eaten alive.
