This week on the podcast, we have Dr. Gail P. Myers a cultural anthropologist who earned her Doctorate in Anthropology from Ohio State University. She is the Co-founder of Farms to Grow, which is dedicated to working with Black farmers and underserved sustainable farmers around the country and bridging that gap between the generations. One of her projects I’m most excited about is the launch of the multimedia documentary project called Rhythms of the Land. This documentary honors the Black US farmers, sharecroppers, and gardeners to spotlight the connection between biological and cultural diversity connecting us to our roots, especially for our future farmers, and youth.
