About Katharine:
Katharine Phelps is a world citizen, educator, and mother of three. Her professional and service work has centered around early childhood education, literacy, and community building with a particular focus on young children. She has taught in public and private schools in Tianjin, China, New York, Washington, and Oregon and recently started her own small business working with young readers needing extra support in developing their literacy skills. Since September 2020 she has been part of a small and dedicated team that puts together virtual read-alouds for young children for the non-profit group Respond to Racism LO.
