This week, the walls come crumbling down, and we reveal their gnarly innards as we look at a couple horror films depicting housing crises across the world. First, we talk with Chicagoan Emmy Colón-Geistlinger about the original hometown horror, 1992’s Candyman. Along the way, we discuss our feelings on bees, the gothic nature of the movie, and the history behind the adaptation of this Clive Barker story.
