Derek Nalder shares his journey of shifting from a destination-focused mindset to embracing the process and finding joy in the journey.
The catalyst for this shift was the passing of his mother, which led him into a period of depression. Through counseling and introspection, Derek learned to appreciate the present moment and focus on the day-to-day experiences.
He emphasizes the importance of setting goals as a compass but not getting too fixated on them, allowing oneself to look around and enjoy the opportunities and adventures along the way.
