Europe got a chance to shine yesterday in the absence of Wall Street, catching up with US indexes. I'm tempted to say that there's a degree of confidence in the equity markets at the start of July. The spotlight is on the US job market today, with the release of an eagerly awaited employment report. As in the children's story Goldilocks, the porridge (data) is neither too hot nor too cold.
