Barry first found music when he borrowed his sister's record collection when he was about eight and was hooked. When Caroline started it was a new beginning, and he listened to all the stations, but Caroline was his favourite by far. Later he became a singer in a band, then started doing discos when he was 18. He joined Caroline in 1977, touring the country with the Caroline Roadshow for 10 years, having great fun. Barry helped with tender trips and worked on the Ross Revenge in '84 and '85. ...

Once upon a time not long ago when people wore pajamas and lived life slow...music was the voice of a community. Whether delivered in bars or in ballads there was always a Message (broken glass everywhere) in the music. But today, when you hear Brownstone telling you to "say it" it in the background of a heart breaking song from an album called Trap Soul. Rappers are no longer the news anchors for the hood but instead are the sole manufactures and distributors of the products that destroy it (trap). Now black music is black music and its all good. We are not salty that she's with the Boys in the Hood but the music no longer seems to carry the soul or the message it once did.
