Movie references for the win because, say what you want about Eat Pray Love, but they NAILED the high-achiever, hustler mentality...

There's this one scene in the movie Eat Pray Love where this man name Luca Spaghetti of all things makes some bold, absurdly accurate - in my opinion - claims about Americans. He talks about how we burn ourselves out, feeling like we have to earn pleasure and play, and, honestly, as culturally stereotypical as it is, it's so true!

Because for me? I have gone WEEKS without taking a TRUE day off. I have STRUGGLED with feeling like I had to EARN my downtime. I have felt that feeling like my WORTHINESS + VALIDATION are dependent upon what I produce.

In this podcast episode, we'll be exploring the meaning of the phrase dolce far niente - which translates to the "sweetness of doing nothing." We'll be getting incredibly self-aware about how we FEEL about that saying, and I'll be issuing a CHALLENGE to those of us that struggle with this notion of DOING NOTHING! Can't wait to share it with you!
