Welcome to another edition of What Barrie's Talking About from Barrie 360! It's a big week with lots to talk about. What Barrie's Talking About is a weekly podcast that brings the local stories that impact you. News stories that you aren't used to hearing!

This week on the podcast, we talk about challenges facing supervised consumption, discovering local musicians, and butterflies in the sky...

What Barrie's Talking About This Week

1) A Snag For Supervised Consumption

It wasn't that long ago that mental health advocates around Barrie were hopeful to see a supervised consumption site open to help people in the community. CEO Dr. Valerie Grdisa chatted with our Ian MacLennan about what lead to the decision...

2) Butterflies In The Sky

We Unite has been doing a lot for the community for some time now. And there is a special event returning this year, the second annual Butterfly Release is coming to Oro-Medonte.

Dan Blakely sits with Keira Kenny and Cameron Christie from We Unite to chat about that event and all the other good work they are doing around the community...

3) Jules Is Dead

A local artist by the name of Jules Is Dead has been taking the music scene by storm lately, mainly because of their age, coming in at just 18 years old

Dan Blakely got a chance to chat with them about an upcoming show and what sets the group apart...

4) Sober Sips

The demand for non-alcoholic or lower-alcoholic beer has been growing at a rapid pace in the community. You can tell by the amount of action Sober Sips has been getting on their website. That interest has led to a physical location in downtown Barrie.

Barrie 360's Will Konken sits down with owners Jeff and Shannon Cunningham...
