Hani Dajani sits down with Yafa Jarrar to talk about resilience as a Palestinian who lived under Israeli occupation and then moved to Canada. Yafa Jarrar is a lawyer and human rights activist advocating for Palestinian Human Rights. She is also the daughter of Palestinian Leader Khalida Jarrar, who was a political prisoner for two years in an Israeli prison. The Israeli army arrested Yafa's mother, Khalida Jarrar in their home in Ramallah in 2019, eight months after she was released following 20 months in administrative detention without trial or change. Yafa is a prime example of advocacy and resilience, and shows that being strong also means being human.
