From growing up in Houston with a desire to change the media narrative around my community, to breaking new ground with the Rooted series, my journey has been one of storytelling and advocacy. The series not only tackled the discrimination surrounding natural hair but also created a space for Black women to be seen and heard. This is where my mission to be a voice for positive change truly took root, influencing every step of my career. I've navigated the highs and lows of TV journalism while striving to use my platform responsibly, always with the aim of transforming challenges into triumphs.
Transitioning from TV news to founding Loud and Clear Media was driven by a desire for creative freedom and a need to amplify overlooked stories. "Loud and Clear with Tashara" serves as the centerpiece of this mission, offering raw, unfiltered conversations on social justice, personal growth, and more. This chapter of my life encourages embracing one's multifaceted nature and redefining oneself beyond job titles.
