Director's Cut: How I made it as a Managing Director in Nielsen #007

Johan is working as the Chief Revenue Officer in NAILBITER (at the time of this recording).
Many things were going well for Johan; he started his first 6 years of his career as a brand marketer in 2 of the biggest FMCGs in Belgium - Danone & Anheuser-Busch InBev (ABInBev). He learnt alot, and when tested he proved himself capable by winning a start up competition held by Nokia, which began his life as a start up founder.
But here is where the fairy tale ends.
His start up had to weather the 2008 financial crisis, and learn to scale up rapidly. It was the latter that killed the start's premature 5 year life.
He then worked in eyeka by InSites Consulting as the Global Business Director Co-Creation before landing in Affinova, Inc as a Vice President Strategic Account Development Asia Pacific. He was promoted to Senior Vice President before Affinova was acquired by Nielsen where he will spend the next 5 and a half years working as the Managing Director across different markets from Singapore to Europe.
It was then that he met his colleagues back from Affinova Inc. where he learnt that they are starting a new company NAILBITER.
