Juntong was certain that he wanted to do finance growing up.
I mean, why else would he have applied to every single finance internship he could find, before University (that's right BEFORE university).
And why else would he chase an OCBC commodities summer analyst, and specialise in finance in University.
But a chance encounter with a mentor in that very OCBC internship sowed the seeds for his pivot into Tech. What followed was more serendipity; applying to Grab as a Business Intern for Grab Financial Group, and then as a Business Intern in Google.
He was converted, but his story joining Google was a roller-coaster of company reorg that had him retrenched, and rehired all in a span of 90 days.
This is the true story behind all his pivots, behind his LinkedIn that eventually lead him to be a Google Account Manager (at the time of this recording).
