Have you ever noticed how everyone is your child's friend in nursery, and the number of friends gets fewer as they get older? I remember when we used to have to invite the whole class for my children's birthday parties, because it was hard to decide who not to invite. As children get older, the parties themes often get a bit more expensive, but thankfully they do not want the whole class there. As adults, we are more cautious about our friendships and sometimes even struggle to have real friendships. Why is that?
