In honor of Minority Mental Health Month, host Jan Desper Peters is joined by Dr. Vabren Watts, Deputy Director of the American Psychiatric Association’s (APA) Division of Diversity and Health. Dr. Watts received his Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from Meharry Medical College and completed his post-doctoral training in Cardiology Research at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He has worked in a space where you find few African Americans, research, and scientific journalism.
