This is despite evidence to show how employee engagement affects turnover, productivity, absenteeism, customer satisfaction, business growth and profitability. Traditionally it’s been seen as a top-down approach, typically instigated by HR professionals through an annual employee survey of some kind. Despite the data, not much has shifted in the last 10 years. More recent focus has started to ask what can team leaders and managers throughout an organisation actually do to create the circumstances for great employee engagement.
