In this episode, Sujatha speaks to Shilpa Bharatan Iyer who runs a home based boutique bakery that specialises in cinnamon rolls, breads, sourdough breads and jams. Imagine a 3rd generation journalist who's got stuff going for her just the way it should, earning her dough doing just the thing the world expects her to. And one day the smell of freshly baked bread gets her straight to kneading the dough to make the next batch .. and knowing this is just what she always wanted to do.
Sounds really bollywoodisque I know, yet its happily true . The metamorphosis of cute little Shilpa to the sassy Yo Maami is the stuff that true Ikigai is made of.
