Here’s what you actually NEED to do:
- You need to create valuable content , consistently.
- You need a place to gather your fans.
- You need a way to talk to your fans.
- And sometimes you need to make an offer to them too.
On my site marketingforchildrensauthors.com, in the resources bank, you will find a module called ‘Author Tasks and Time Management’. There is a 15 minute video going over the tasks you need to be doing, and how much time to budget for each one - daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly.
Take a few hours this coming week - make a copy of the trello board - and plan out the next few months.
It will help with the overwhelm, with that feeling of going in circles, and the shameful feeling of never doing ENOUGH. You’ll make a plan, and you’ll stick with it.
