The coronary calcium score is becoming a critical risk assessment tool to stratify global ASCVD risk better. The incidental coronary calcium score finding in noncardiac CTs also provides opportunities for risk stratification but challenges in uncharted territory. What is the ideal patient for a coronary calcium score? Who is not a perfect candidate for coronary calcium score, when should it be repeated, etc., are all essential contemporary questions in preventive Cardiology.
