How are you supposed to show up on your Instagram feed talking about your upcoming design workshop or a discount on your latest offer when it feels like the entire world is focused on the current heated political narrative.
We have to talk about this issue because it's not going away.

For people in the online space using the free tools of the internet to promote their wellness practices, marketing offers and other small businesses, we have to talk about how to navigate this moment that we’re living through…
I had a somewhat scary downward spiral while scrolling the 'gram this morning. I encountered a post by Gabby Bernstein, a well known author and spiritual teacher, and the comments section was so filled with vitriol, negativity, fighting and name calling... I found myself doom-scrolling my way into these discussions and feeling increasingly depleted.
After about 25 minutes, I actually noticed that I actually felt sick to my stomach. Thank goodness I had the will power to set the phone down, drink some water and re-center my energy.
It made me realize - this is just the beginning. This charged political climate is not going away anytime soon and we need to prepare ourselves as solopreneurs for the road ahead.
Today, I share my thoughts on whether or not you should comment on politics in your social media platforms and if it's cool to talk about your business during "times like this", which seem to be the new norm.
My quick 4 tips include:

  1. Practice self-care (including the golden 5)
  2. Cultivate a daily gratitude practice
  3. Learn to move your vibrations higher on the scale (ala Abraham Hicks)
  4. Lean into your core offer and messaging and focus on helping your community.

I would really like to hear from you about this topic. How is it effecting you? Has current politics made you feel like you can't share info about your business offers?
Do you feel unsafe or unstable and need support?
I also want to remind you about this FREE gift:
