Hey everybody! Happy Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day! We hope you are having a sweet “day off” with your kiddos and having good conversations with them about all that Dr. King stood for and fought for. Here, here, and here are three simple and great articles to give you ideas of how to talk to your kids about Dr. King and MLK day.
For today’s episode, we are having a conversation about expectations. Don’t expectations always get us into trouble? And especially as moms! So often (and most recently in Courtney’s Disney adventure 😂) expectations can trip us up, wreak a little havoc, and leave us feeling not only frustrated, but inadequate and like we are failing. This is not truth! Where have you found expectations to be unrealistic and leave you feeling less than? How do you cope with this? We’d love to hear from you!
And in a brand new segment we are starting today, we are introducing you to “New Mom Kristen”! Kristen just became a mom about a week ago, and we are going to follow along in her journey for the next year as a first time mom to baby Stone! (Isn’t that the best name ever?) We will regularly check in with “New Mom Kristen” (this is her morning radio show name 😂) and hear all about the ups and downs and milestones and struggles. We are so looking forward to this!
