Hey everybody! We are back today for another awesome book club book episode! We are chatting about There’s No Such Thing as Bad Weather by Linda Akeson McGurk and we lovvved it! We both got so much out of this book, and it really challenged us in a lot of amazing ways. It’s a super easy read, but really inspiring, so if you haven’t read it yet, go check it out! If you did get to read it with us, what did you think? We also mentioned the book, Last Child in the Woods by Richard Louv, which is mentioned throughout the book as well. Courtney talked about her new Cold Weather Gear: Sorel Duckboots and Carhartt Insulated Overalls. And if you follow our Insta stories, you saw it’s Jennifer’s family’s turn at Disney! Yesterday was a suuuuuper rainy day in Orlando, and she literally went and picked up a new (and her first) rain coat at the North Face outlet and declared, “there’s no such thing as bad weather!” Ha!!
We also announced our next book…… drum roll….. And it will be Planet Middle School by Dr. Kevin Leman! You may recognize the name - he is also the author of another book we love, The Birth Order Book. We chatted about that in our SECOND ever episode!
We also caught up with “New Mom Kristen” (and “New Dad Thad”) on baby Stone’s second week! If you have any questions for her, let us know! There is a lot to forget from newborn to now (wherever any of us happen to be!), and hearing from her reminds us all to well of that tricky fourth trimester.
