If you’re selling your home and have pets, there are a few things you need to do to prepare for showings.
- Make sure your pets are not home during showings. Go for a walk with them or give them to a family member or friend while showings are happening. If you’re at work, put them in a kennel or outside. You want to make sure any potential buyers won’t feel threatened or apprehensive due to allergies.
- Remove any signs of pets in the home. Make sure the kitty litter is tucked away in a closet and toys are stowed away for the showing.
- Make sure there are no offensive odors. A good, thorough cleaning should take care of any pet odors in your home. We actually work with a great company that leaves your home smelling fresh and clean. We’d be happy to get you in touch with them.
