Episode 5 - Don’t Do That In A Gondola (With Nik Perring & Genevieve Carver)
Manage episode 316028557 series 3002898
Guests Nik Perring and Genevieve Carver join hosts Letty Butler and Stephen Mellor in a podcast with a difference, for writers and readers alike. In this episode, Stephen hosts, and Nik, Joanna, and Letty respond live, against the clock, to a series of writing prompts, as well as discussing the highs and lows and challenges of being a writer, how to deal with criticism and the best to collaborate with other people — oh, and Letty calls Stephen a rude word, probably because he could not remember where he got the prompts from.
The prompts were 200 words on the pre-prepared prompt of ‘He/She Tries to Imagine Crossing Over.’ Three minutes to respond to ‘Chaos Attic Gondola,’ and one minute to respond to ‘You Stole What?’
You can discover even more work by Gevi at her website: www.genevievecarver.com and more work from Nik at www.nikperring.com
You can also view the filmed stage performance which we talked about on the show by going to: www.scenesaver.co.uk/production/a-beautiful-way-to-be-crazy
Visit www.hivesouthyorkshire.com to find all about the work the group does supporting young writers across South Yorkshire.
Why not have a go at the prompts yourself (but don’t forget to time yourself, and try not to cheat, lol) and send us your own responses at prompetyprompt@gmail.com or via twitter.com/prompetyprompt & instagram.com/prompetyprompt
