There are no coincidences when it comes to foreign policy. The same goes for war. Donald J. Trump may well be responsible for the fall of Syria and it all leads back to Ukraine. My belief is, the Trump effect, Syria and the Assad regime falling to jihadist rebels posses some new challenges in Syria but it is a sign Trump has more control over Russia and China than Biden ever has.

Bashir Assad's ouster is clearly a positive for Israel. Israeli forces have already taken advantage of the chaos. The IDF has taken out many of the chemical weapons depots inside Syria as it begins to use IDF forces to secure the Syrian border with Israel as well. But where is Russia and China? These two nations propped up Syria and this time they let Syria crumble. Why?
