If you had to charge ten times as much as you charge now, what would you do differently? If it had to be free, what would you do differently? Who's it for, and what's it for? What is the change we seek to make? How did you choose the questions for The Strategy Deck? How big is our circle of us? How many people do I care about? Is the change we're making contagious? Are there other ways to gamify the use of questions? Any other thoughts on how questions might be gamified? What would Bob do? What would Jill do? What would Susan do? What happened to them? What system are they in that made them decide that that was the right thing to do? And then how do we change the system? How given the state of the world, do you manage to continue to care as much as you do? Do you walk to school or take your lunch? If you all can only care if things are going well, then what does that mean about caring? Should I have spent the last 50 years curled up in a ball? How do we go to the foundation and create community action?…

Sign up for the KOHO Card now and get $20! https://wepayoffdebt.ca/koho This is the fifth video in the Budget Course! The key now that we've got the idea of the budget down and the main priority is to make it not just easy to do, but DEAD EASY. It has to be dead easy because you're going to get tired. Sometimes it's not FUN updating/tracking/planning your budget, and we need to make it so ridiculously easy that you'll keep doing it, even when it doesn't feel exciting or motivating; to make it so easy that you'll keep doing it, even when it's hard, for the rest of your life. If this all sounds unrealistic, I thought it was too. But today with this system, it's AMAZING. This is the fourth video in the Budget Course! Debt is the number one reason why Canadians don't have the wiggle room in their budget. Once you have your income and four walls written out in a budget, the next step is to get your debt under control and make decisions on how much of the money you have left will actually go towards debt. You CAN be debt-free, and it's TOTALLY WORTH the effort to get there! This is the first episode in the Budget Course! I go through a bit of our story and the reason why it's so important to get control of our money from a biblical point of view. Check out a list of some smaller and some bigger things you can "invest" your money in that can bring a massive return in your life: http://www.WePayOffDebt.ca/cash Some people think "Nah, people with extra money just don't exist", but in fact, some people are born savers and end up piling up money that they don't know what to do with. Some people win a lottery and just put it in their account to feel good about it being there. Some have an insurance settlement that they decide to just leave in the account. In this episode, I go through what should be done with a chunk of money that you just don't know what to do with, and the paradigms around doing so. NOTE: This all assumes that you're life is stable financially at the moment. If, for instance, you're in school right now, keep piling up money to make sure you get through school debt-free. If, for instance, you lost your job, or you've experienced some traumatic issue recently, go ahead and leave the cash there until you've walked through this season in your life. But if things are well and you have a solid job with a solid income, then this episode is for YOU. Also, at the end we have a few listener questions: - Emily: How do you make time to stay on top of your budget when times get busy? How do you deal with increases to the cost of living when you're already living paycheque to paycheque? - Paul: Should I use my emergency fund to buy a cow? It'll fill my pantry for a long time, and if not, then it would take us a long time to save up for it.…
Did you know that Jesus spoke more about money and possessions than almost any topic? More than heaven and hell combined? If your personal finance life was a puzzle, and you dumped out all the pieces, you'd want to start with the corner points, in order to get some structure of where to go and something to build on to. I recently had the privilege of preaching at the Winnipeg Church of Christ (https://wcoc.ca/), and in this sermon, I present what I would call "the four corners" of this puzzle from a biblical point of view. I hope you enjoy it! Text PODCAST to 204-813-6133 to leave a voicemail with feedback on the show, or with a question that you'd like answered on a future episode!…

Lots of people have asked me recently what they can do to get their income up, especially those in rural Canada. It’s easy to look around and feel like there’s nothing here for you to do. But all it comes down to is finding a way to meet needs. If you can meet people’s needs, they will thank you with CASH.
