×Part 2 of Eoin's chat with Justine Santowiak (@jusswhitchurch). Justine is a personal trainer, author, model and motivational speaker ( https://justinewhitchurch.com.au/ ). Having experienced a near death alcohol addiction, while admittedly at her worst she was consuming “about three bottles of wine a day, and a few shots of vodka”, Justine now lives her life with health and fitness as her core foundation. Her self-published book ‘Sobriety Delivered Everything Alcohol Promised’ ( "Sobriety Delivered Everything Alcohol Promised" ) outlines the steps she took after hitting rock bottom with just months to live. Just a few years after Justine was sober, she was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 44. Something that came as a massive shock initially, but she feels it came at ‘the perfect time’, and she was prepared for it as her daughter was previously diagnosed with T1D at the age of 7. Justine openly shares her darkest times, how she survived, and what steps she took to ultimately become the fittest and healthiest she’s ever been. As always, be sure to rate, comment, subscribe and share. Your interaction and feedback really helps the podcast. The more Diabetics that we reach, the bigger impact we can make!
