Welcome to another episode of the "Life and Loss" podcast, brought to you by Forest Holme Hospice in Poole, Dorset. In this episode, Dr Amy, Lead Consultant at Forest Holme Hospice, explores the role of palliative care in enhancing the quality of life.
She explains the meaning of ‘Palliative Care’ and what and holistic approach to care involves, as well as offering examples of excellent palliative care and where to find additional help and support.

Forest Holme Hospice provides palliative and end-of life-care and support to more than 1,500 people each year across Poole, Wimborne and the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset with advanced cancer and other life-limiting illnesses such as Motor Neurone Disease, Parkinson’s, heart disease and respiratory illness.
Forest Holme Hospice Charity was set-up to ensure that everyone in the local community affected by a life-limiting illness or bereavement gets the care and support they need, either at home or in our dedicated hospice facility.
