In this episode we talk with multi-instrumentalist, master producer, engineer and songwriter Professor Louie Hurwitz about his life and his astonishing career. He was engineer, producer and performer with American rock band “The Band” for 15 years, but want to hear about Professor Louie’s early career and how he came to be working with The Band, plus the many other artists and bands he has worked with? Do you want to hear about his Grammy nominated band - Professor Louie & the Crowmatix - that he has spearheaded for the past 22 years?

This episode is hosted by Rose Ganguzza and Jason P Rothberg with guest host, musician, producer and writer Dusty Wright, who talks to Louie about working with The Band for 15 years; co-producing and engineering three of their albums, plus their solo work. Then our second guest host, musician, producer and songwriter Sean Hurwitz gets into the technicalities and difficulties of recording back in the day, on analogue.

Professor Louie and the Crowmatix have a new album out February 25, 2022, called “Strike Up the Band” so go check it out. Check out the video for their new single “A Thousand Ways To Freedom” on YouTube.
