Gina Jacobs ('01 & '10) serves as Associate Vice President for the SDSU Mission Valley Development at San Diego State University. She has a leading role in shaping and executing the university’s strategy to develop the Mission Valley

Gina shares her story of coming to SDSU to study Drama and Journalism, working at the campus newspaper and radio station, and initially working at NBC San Diego as a promotions producer. She returned to SDSU professionally as a media relations manager, departed for four years, and returned again to campus at what proved to be a critical time in the university's history.
She also provides updates on what's new at Mission Valley, what's coming next, how long the project will continue, and the pride she feels working on a transformative project for her alma mater.

Each week, during the Fall and Spring semesters, host Josh Suchon (Class of 1996) interviews alumni to learn about their experiences as college students, entering the workforce, key steps in their professional development, advice they'd give to current students, and details about how they covered a specific story.
