Today, we are joined by the eldest of the Bedinghaus boys, MI graduate, outstanding guitarist, & Marc’s brother, John Bedinghaus, who has played in bands with such artists as Ray Luzier of Korn & Army of Anyone, Russ Parrish aka Satchel of Steel Panther, Jeff Martin of Badlands & Racer X, and more.

On this episode of the 5 for 5 show, we take a look at why people gravitate to certain genres and why we shouldn’t be afraid to dabble in new ones. Music all consists of the same 12 notes, just constructed differently and through the lens of various tools that help shape those sounds into divergent paths but often being born from similar sources.

Likewise, John and Marc both come from rock roots but at times the fork in the road pushes John down a heavier black metal road and for Marc it’s more electronic & exploratory. So to investigate and share, we decided to do a 5 for 5 and see if we could enlighten ourselves a bit.
