Today we are going to start to talk about what it means to make connections through art! Inclusive community art classes are built on 4 pillars of education, mental health, community and inclusion, but what does that mean? So today we’re discussing education.
What does it mean to connect art and education?
Art is a bit sneaky when we use it as a tool for learning, we are having so much fun exploring and playing with our medium that we don’t even notice that we’re learning until we’ve done it, and the pride and joy that comes from that, it’s incredible. Building confidence and joy for the love of learning all through creativity.
We are constantly learning— Education does not just happen in schooling or courses, we learn constantly through life through books, media, relationships, schooling, family. Learning can happen passively or actively through observation and intentional growth, be open to the process and exploration of learning.
Creativity is how to engage and inspire learning, through art we can inspire education and creative living.
